First Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League Gameplay Footage Shows A Lot Of Shooting And Flying
The first full Gameplay showcase for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League debuted today at Sony's first State of Play of the year and showed a lot of flying, shooting, and gear scores.
After appearances from Resident Evil 4, Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections, and Goodbye Volcano High, the Gameplay showcase for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League appeared to cap off Sony's February State of Play. We've previously seen Gameplay of Kill the Justice League in the Game's second trailer, but this is the first unedited and in-Game footage we've seen with HUD elements and a full idea of what's going on.
One of the first details revealed is that it's going to take place five years after the events of Arkham Knight, which is a detail that hasn't been revealed before, but would go some way to explaining how Batman is suddenly back. The footage then showed Gameplay of each of the Squad going up against Braniac's army while also chasing the Flash, who's been corrupted alongside Superman and Batman.
Surprisingly, the footage consisted of a lot of combat in the air, running up walls, and shooting a ton of disposable enemies, nothing like what you might expect from the team behind the Arkham Games. After the initial Gameplay trailer, we got to see Wonder Woman going up against the Flash and finding out that he's going to have to be killed if Brainiac is going to be stopped.
Next up was a behind-the-scenes look at some of the more minute details of the Game, including character customization options (like a pretty rocking Superman outfit for King Shark) and a bit more detail on how each of the Squad plays. Rocksteady then explained one of the Game's more controversial elements by going into detail on the previously-leaked gear system and battle pass. It was previously confirmed that these weren't true live-service elements, although that didn't make it any less weird to see here.
